Our story

In 1984 Angelo Convertini develops a pioneering idea: waste can be turned into new material and reintroduced in the production cycle. In the same year, he creates Convertini, an individual company that deals with clearing warehouses and recycling the waste collected. 
In the early 2000s, Angelo involves in the company his son Ivan whose entrepreneur spirit combined with a growing demand for regulation in waste management, encourages the company to look to the future in a new way. Within a couple of years, Convertini shapes its strengths and assets and in 2005 it becomes a limited company. Through constant investments and acquisitions, the company’s capability increases year by year showing a growth in the number of clients and work demands.
The Company starts looking for new solutions in line with the new requirements, namely to increase their production rates, to become more accurate and imagine new routes in waste management.
The solution comes with the construction in 2018 of a new Automated Sorting Plant: by speeding up the production and increasing the amount or recoverable product, the plant is able to diminish significantly the unrecoverable fraction. Discarded materials are no longer just waste – they can be transformed into energy and therefore reach the waste-to-energy plants.
